Earlier this school year, Citizens Community Credit Union (CCCU) formed an exciting partnership to solidify their commitment to the East Grand Forks community. East Grand Forks Senior High School and CCCU have entered into a multi-faceted partnership agreement which includes renaming the school cafeteria as the Citizens Community Credit Union Cafeteria, as well as CCCU signage in the gymnasium, cafeteria and on the football complex, supporting at least one annual fundraiser that would take place in the cafeteria, providing fun, informative financial education content for daily announcements and serving as a financial education resource for the students and their teachers.

“This partnership is about more than a name change,” says Darwin Brokke, CCCU president. “It’s a visual sign of our investment in the community and our deeper relationship with the East Grand Forks schools. Our employees’ children attend these schools, they volunteer with these programs and they watch the athletics and arts performances. This is our way to show our commitment to the future of this community.”

“The East Grand Forks Senior High School community is grateful for the support of Citizens Community Credit Union,” said Brian Loer, East Grand Forks Senior High School principal. “We look forward to our continued partnership with the credit union to find ways to help serve our students better.”

Beginning in the Fall of 2016 and finalized early 2017, this partnership with run through at least August 2019.
